Description

Brickit helps you build new things with your old bricks.

1. Spread out your bricks and take a photo of them. The app will scan the photo, identifying and counting the details.

2. Decide what to build. Brickit suggests building ideas depending on what bricks you have. Choose from robots, kangaroos, X-Wings, and more!

3. Build your creations using our step-by-step instructions. The instructions are useful, but you don’t have to stick to them exclusively. We give you ideas, and you decide what to make of them.

4. Find any brick you want easily. Just choose a detail in our catalog, and the app will highlight it in your pile. The bricks you need in the instructions are highlighted in the steps where you need them.

I totally recommend this!!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

If you’re looking for something to pass time with your Lego bricks you should literally just do this it’s so fun and you can literally make a miniature Nintendo switch and it has over 1000 instructions on how to build stuff out of Lego and you can build everything (if you have the right bricks)And you can look at other peoplesBuilds so you can be inspired and follow them. So if you want to build stuff out of your leftover bricks So yeah I totally recommend this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Needs a bit of tweaking, but incredible idea!

This is a revelation! Sure, it needs a bit of tweaking, but for a free app I think you can forgive them this! It has so far worked well scanning my daughters Lego box and we’ve been able to build a couple of the smaller items. Occasionally a replacement colour is needed, but we don’t mind as it gives it a more creative look! A few tweaks which I think would make it perfect…

1. Sorting ideas in order of amounts of pieces missing…so you can then focus on the ones where you have the pieces in a list of 500+ or so ideas…

2. A list of substitute pieces that could be used? I suppose this would change the instructions so would probably be difficult, but I’m sure there are other ways/other pieces that can be used when one is missing.

3. A list of the pieces missing before you start. Again, relating to the above, if you know what’s missing then perhaps you can go for that creation anyway and use a substitute if there is one.

anyway, all in all a fantastic idea, and we’re going to enjoy trying to find creations to build! Well done to the developers!

Fantastic concept, unreliable in practise.

Firstly I have to say, what an absolutely fantastic concept! Someone will likely make a lot of money selling this to Lego (unless they simply build their own) and I could see how access to official Lego datasets would be extremely valuable.

Unfortunately, the app itself, whilst fairly intuitive and simple to use, doesn’t really deliver (yet). There’s a lot of misidentified bricks, suggestion of builds with several missing bricks and the app seems very easily confused unless the bricks are in a completely flat single layer, preferably upright and with the photo taken at a slight angle (presumably due to issues with depth perception).

Like most “AI” at the moment, it doesn’t quite cut the mustard but I can see a lot of potential going forward.
