Ryan Spearman is a professional folk musician, singer/songwriter, educator, radio DJ and music promoter living in St. Louis, MO.
For six years he was an instructor at Folk School STL, where he now serves as Curriculum Consultant/Special Projects Manager.
He has taught classes covering several traditional musical subjects including: clawhammer banjo, old time & bluegrass fiddle, country blues guitar, jug band, improvisation, music theory, & folk ensemble performance.
He was the co-founder of The Green Strum Project and The St. Louis Folk & Roots Festival and a co-producer of the Interactive Jug Band Exhibit at the National Blues Museum in Saint Louis, Missouri.
When not teaching online or in his private lesson studio, Spearman stays busy performing, recording, presenting workshops and touring the United States and Europe.
